About Arkansas LOTTO
After the six winning numbers, Arkansas LOTTO draws a Bonus Number from the 34 left. You don't pick it: if it matches one of your numbers that missed, your prize goes up. Five numbers pay $1,500, or $25,000 with the Bonus Number; four pay $25, or $500.
With only 40 numbers to pick 6 from, wheels cover the field well. The jackpot starts at $250,000 and grows until someone wins it.
Matching two numbers without the Bonus Number pays nothing in Arkansas LOTTO, so every wheel here guarantees at least a three-number match. Be wary of any system that promises "two numbers every time."
What Arkansas LOTTO wheels cost
Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match ($2) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.
| Numbers you mark | Tickets | Cost per draw | Cost per week | How often the guarantee comes into play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 of 40 | 4 | $8 | $16 | 1 in 12 draws, about once every 6 weeks |
| 10 of 40 | 10 | $20 | $40 | 1 in 6.5 draws, about once every 3 weeks |
| 12 of 40 | 15 | $30 | $60 | 1 in 4.1 draws, about once every 2 weeks |
| 15 of 40 | 31 | $62 | $124 | 1 in 2.5 draws, about once a week or more |
| 18 of 40 | 48 | $96 | $192 | 57% draws, about once a week or more |
The cost per week covers all 2 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Can a wheel improve your odds?
No. Each line still has the same 1 in 3,838,380 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.38 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions
How many numbers should I mark?
As many as your budget allows. In Arkansas LOTTO, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $8 to $96 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 12 draws to 57%. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.
Can I play online?
The Arkansas Lottery doesn't sell tickets online, but it expressly allows ticket courier services. Its AR Lottery + Club app can also make digital playslips that retailers scan.
