About Show Me Cash

Below the jackpot, Show Me Cash prizes are fixed: $250 for four numbers, $10 for three and $1 for two. The jackpot starts at $50,000 and grows by at least $5,000 every draw until someone wins it.

It is drawn every night, and with 39 numbers a wheel on 10 or 12 of them catches three winning numbers on a fair share of draws. Each option above shows exactly how often.

What Show Me Cash wheels cost

Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match ($10) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.

Numbers you markTicketsCost per drawCost per weekHow often the guarantee comes into play
8 of 398$8$561 in 20 draws, about once every 3 weeks
10 of 3917$17$1191 in 10 draws, about once a week or more

18 of 3994$94$6581 in 2.4 draws, about once a week or more

The cost per week covers all 7 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Can a wheel improve your odds?

No. Each line still has the same 1 in 575,757 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.28 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions

How many numbers should I mark?

As many as your budget allows. In Show Me Cash, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $8 to $94 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 20 draws to 1 in 2.4. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.

Does a wheel break Missouri's rule on guaranteed wins?

No. Missouri retailers may not knowingly sell combinations that guarantee a prize, which means buying enough of the possible combinations to be sure of winning whatever is drawn. A wheel only combines the numbers you chose, so it wins only if enough of the winning numbers are among yours.

Can I take this printout to the store?

Not as a playslip: Missouri doesn't accept copied playslips. Copy your lines onto official playslips, read them to the clerk, or enter them in the Missouri Lottery app to make a digital playslip the retailer scans. Tickets aren't sold online.
