About Ohio Classic Lotto
Below the jackpot, Classic Lotto prizes are fixed: $1,500 for five numbers, $70 for four and $2 for three. At $1 a line it is one of the cheapest 6-number games to wheel.
The jackpot starts at $1 million and has grown by exactly $100,000 a draw recently; it was won once between July and September 2026, at $8.4 million.
Matching two numbers pays nothing in Ohio Classic Lotto, so every wheel here guarantees at least a three-number match. Be wary of any system that promises "two numbers every time."
What Ohio Classic Lotto wheels cost
Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match ($2) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.
| Numbers you mark | Tickets | Cost per draw | Cost per week | How often the guarantee comes into play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 of 49 | 4 | $4 | $12 | 1 in 21 draws, about once every 7 weeks |
| 10 of 49 | 10 | $10 | $30 | 1 in 11 draws, about once every 4 weeks |
| 12 of 49 | 15 | $15 | $45 | 1 in 6.8 draws, about once every 2 weeks |
| 15 of 49 | 31 | $31 | $93 | 1 in 3.9 draws, about once a week or more |
| 18 of 49 | 48 | $48 | $144 | 1 in 2.6 draws, about once a week or more |
The cost per week covers all 3 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Can a wheel improve your odds?
No. Each line still has the same 1 in 13,983,816 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.13 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions
How many numbers should I mark?
As many as your budget allows. In Ohio Classic Lotto, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $4 to $48 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 21 draws to 1 in 2.6. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.
How do I play these tickets in Ohio?
Copy each line by hand onto an official Ohio Lottery playslip (Ohio refuses printed or copied slips), or read your lines to the clerk. The lottery's app can also make a digital playslip that the retailer scans.
Can I print my tickets onto a bet slip?
No. Ohio retailers accept only hand-filled bet slips or an ePlaySlip barcode made in the official Ohio Lottery app or website. Copy the lines from our printout onto a slip, or enter them as an ePlaySlip.
What is KICKER?
A separate $1 game played per ticket, not per line, with its own six-digit number. It doesn't change your Classic Lotto numbers or the wheel.
