About Loto Cash

Loto Cash is drawn three times a week. You pick five numbers from 1 to 35 and a Cash Bolo from 1 to 10. With only ten Cash Bolos, it matches on one line in ten, and it lifts every prize: three numbers pay $2, or $10 with the Cash Bolo, and four pay $50, or $500. The Cash Bolo alone gives you your dollar back.

Below the jackpot every prize is fixed, so every wheel guarantee has a known value. The jackpot starts at $500,000 and grows by $10,000 a draw.

Matching two numbers without the Cash Bolo pays nothing in Loto Cash, so every wheel here guarantees at least a three-number match. Be wary of any system that promises "two numbers every time."

What Loto Cash wheels cost

Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match (at least $2) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.

Numbers you markTicketsCost per drawCost per weekHow often the guarantee comes into play
8 of 358$8$241 in 15 draws, about once every 5 weeks
10 of 3517$17$511 in 7.8 draws, about once every 3 weeks
12 of 3529$29$871 in 4.8 draws, about once every 2 weeks
15 of 3555$55$1651 in 2.8 draws, about once a week or more
18 of 3594$94$28253% draws, about once a week or more

The cost per week covers all 3 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Can a wheel improve your odds?

No. Each line still has the same 1 in 3,246,320 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.21 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions

How many numbers should I mark?

As many as your budget allows. In Loto Cash, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $8 to $94 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 15 draws to 53%. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.

Which Cash Bolo should I use?

Your choice. Putting the same Cash Bolo on every ticket means that if it's drawn, every ticket matches it. Mixing them means more of your tickets have a chance, but only one or two can match. On average the two pay the same.

What are Revancha x2 and the Multiplicador?

Each costs $1 more per line. Revancha x2 enters your numbers, plus a second random line, in a separate drawing with its own jackpot. The Multiplicador multiplies every prize below the jackpot by 2X to 5X, a factor drawn after each draw. Either one doubles a wheel's cost.

Can I play online?

No. Loto Cash tickets are sold only in stores in Puerto Rico.
