About Cash 25
Cash 25 has only 25 numbers to pick 6 from, so a wheel can cover most of the field: on 15 or 18 numbers, the guarantees below come into play on a large share of draws. Each option shows exactly how often.
Every prize is fixed: $25,000 for all six numbers, $250 for five, $10 for four and $1 for three.
Matching two numbers pays nothing in Cash 25, so every wheel here guarantees at least a three-number match. Be wary of any system that promises "two numbers every time."
What Cash 25 wheels cost
Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match ($1) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.
| Numbers you mark | Tickets | Cost per draw | Cost per week | How often the guarantee comes into play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 of 25 | 4 | $4 | $16 | 1 in 3.6 draws, about once a week or more |
| 10 of 25 | 10 | $10 | $40 | 1 in 2.2 draws, about once a week or more |
| 12 of 25 | 15 | $15 | $60 | 64% draws, about once a week or more |
| 15 of 25 | 31 | $31 | $124 | 85% draws, about once a week or more |
| 18 of 25 | 48 | $48 | $192 | 97% draws, about once a week or more |
The cost per week covers all 4 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Can a wheel improve your odds?
No. Each line still has the same 1 in 177,100 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.42 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions
How many numbers should I mark?
As many as your budget allows. In Cash 25, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $4 to $48 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 3.6 draws to 97%. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.
Can I play online?
Yes. The West Virginia Lottery sells Cash 25 through iPLAY on its website and app, and the app can also make digital playslips that retailers scan. Paper playslips must be West Virginia's own.
