About Cowboy Draw
Cowboy Draw lines are sold in pairs: $5 buys two, and you pick both, so a wheel costs $2.50 a line. Below the jackpot, prizes are fixed and generous for the price: $1,000 for four numbers, $20 for three and $5 for two.
It is drawn on Monday and Thursday afternoons. The jackpot grows until someone wins it and is paid as a lump sum.
What Cowboy Draw wheels cost
Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match ($20) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.
| Numbers you mark | Tickets | Cost per draw | Cost per week | How often the guarantee comes into play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 of 45 | 8 | $20 | $40 | 1 in 31 draws, about once every 4 months |
| 10 of 45 | 17 | $45 | $90 | 1 in 15 draws, about once every 8 weeks |
| 12 of 45 | 29 | $75 | $150 | 1 in 9.2 draws, about once every 5 weeks |
| 15 of 45 | 55 | $140 | $280 | 1 in 5.1 draws, about once every 3 weeks |
| 18 of 45 | 94 | $235 | $470 | 1 in 3.2 draws, about once every 2 weeks |
The cost per week covers all 2 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Can a wheel improve your odds?
No. Each line still has the same 1 in 1,221,759 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.70 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions
How many numbers should I mark?
As many as your budget allows. In Cowboy Draw, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $20 to $235 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 31 draws to 1 in 3.2. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.
Can I play online?
No. Wyoming Lottery tickets are sold only in stores, up to $125 per transaction.
