About SuperLotto Plus

Every SuperLotto Plus prize is shared among that draw's winners, so there are no fixed amounts. Three numbers has recently paid about $10 and four numbers $74 to $115, while adding the Mega raises those to about $50 and $1,100 or more.

Each SuperLotto Plus ticket also gets a 2nd Chance code, one entry per $1 spent, into a weekly drawing for $15,000 prizes. A wheel's tickets all count, so remember to enter them.

Matching two numbers without the Mega pays nothing in SuperLotto Plus, so every wheel here guarantees at least a three-number match. Be wary of any system that promises "two numbers every time."

What SuperLotto Plus wheels cost

Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match (recently about $10) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.

Numbers you markTicketsCost per drawCost per weekHow often the guarantee comes into play
8 of 478$8$161 in 35 draws, about once every 4 months
10 of 4717$17$341 in 17 draws, about once every 9 weeks
12 of 4729$29$581 in 10 draws, about once every 5 weeks
15 of 4755$55$1101 in 5.6 draws, about once every 3 weeks
18 of 4794$94$1881 in 3.6 draws, about once every 2 weeks

The cost per week covers all 2 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Every prize is shared among the winners, so amounts change from draw to draw; ranges are what was actually paid in August and September 2026. Every prize is at least $1. The jackpot starts at $7 million and grows until it is won. Can a wheel improve your odds?

No. Each line still has the same 1 in 41,416,353 chance at the top prize, and on average about 50¢ of every dollar comes back as prizes, jackpot included, however you choose the numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions

How many numbers should I mark?

As many as your budget allows. In SuperLotto Plus, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $8 to $94 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 35 draws to 1 in 3.6. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.

Which Mega should I use?

Your choice. Putting the same Mega on every ticket means that if it's drawn, every ticket matches it. Mixing them means more of your tickets have a chance, but only one or two can match. On average the two pay the same.

Can I buy SuperLotto Plus online?

No. California Lottery tickets are sold only in person at retailers; buying online, by mail or through an app isn't allowed in California.
