What a Florida Lotto wheel does
A wheel takes more numbers than fit on one line and spreads them across several tickets in a careful pattern. The pattern guarantees a minimum win whenever enough of the winning numbers are among the ones you picked.
For example, one 10-number wheel uses 10 tickets ($20 a draw). If three of the six winning numbers are among your 10, at least one ticket matches three ($10 to $50). With 10 numbers out of 53, that happens on 1 in 14 draws.
What it doesn't do
A wheel can't change the odds of the draw. Each line has the same 1 in 22,957,480 chance at the top prize as any other, and returns about $0.71 in other prizes on average, whether you use a wheel, quick picks or birthdays.
What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped. Random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your favorite numbers. A wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them.
Every $2 Florida Lotto play comes with a random multiplier of 2x to 10x, printed on the ticket. It multiplies the prizes for matching 3, 4 and 5 numbers, so a three-number guarantee is worth $10 to $50 depending on the ticket. The jackpot and the free ticket for matching 2 are never multiplied.
Matching two numbers wins a free Quick Pick ticket. A wheel puts your numbers on many lines at once, so when the draw lands on a few of them, free tickets tend to come in bunches.
Florida Lotto prizes and odds
| Match | Prize | Odds per line |
|---|---|---|
| 6 numbers | Jackpot, from $1 million | 1 in 22,957,480 |
| 5 numbers | $6,000 to $30,000 | 1 in 81,410 |
| 4 numbers | $100 to $500 | 1 in 1,416 |

| 2 numbers | Free ticket | 1 in 8.58 |
Every $2 play includes a random 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x multiplier on the prizes for 5, 4 and 3 numbers; the ranges show the lowest and highest. The jackpot starts at $1 million, grows until it is won and is shared among winners. Average return counts a free ticket at its $2 price. Check the official rules and results at floridalottery.com.
Questions
How many numbers should I mark?
As many as your budget allows. More numbers make the guarantee pay off more often, but they need more tickets.A wheel that guarantees a three-number match whenever three of your numbers are drawn costs $20 a draw with 10 numbers and $30 with 12. Wheels with weaker guarantees cost less. Office pools can afford bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.
How do I play these tickets?
Print them and fill in a playslip line for each ticket at any Florida Lotto retailer, or enter them in the lottery's app if it sells tickets online in your area.
Should I add Double Play?
Double Play costs $1 more per line and plays the same numbers, with the same multiplier, in a second drawing held right after the main one. Its prizes are fixed: $250,000 for all six, then $3,500, $60 and $7 for five, four and three (times the multiplier), and a free ticket for two. On a wheel it adds $1 to every line.
What is EZmatch?
An optional $1 add-on that prints instant-win numbers on your ticket. If one matches any of your Lotto numbers, you win right away. It isn't part of the draw and doesn't change your wheel.
Is this site part of Florida Lotto?
No. LotteryWheels.com is an independent site and doesn't sell tickets. Always check your tickets against the official results at floridalottery.com.
