What Indiana CA$H 5 wheels cost

Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match ($15) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.

Can a wheel improve your odds?

No. Each line still has the same 1 in 1,221,759 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.21 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions

How many numbers should I mark?

As many as your budget allows. In Indiana CA$H 5, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $8 to $94 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 31 draws to 1 in 3.2. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.

What is EZmatch?

For $1 more per line, you get an instant-win game printed on your ticket that pays on the spot. It's separate from the drawing and doubles a wheel's cost.

Can I play online?

No. Indiana sells draw-game tickets only in stores and lottery vending machines, and ticket couriers aren't allowed. The free Hoosier Lottery app can turn your numbers into a digital playslip that the retailer scans.
