About Hoosier Lotto

Every $2 Hoosier Lotto line gets its own random multiplier when you buy it, from 1X to 10X, on the prizes for three, four and five numbers. Half the time it's 2X, and one line in nine gets 5X or 10X. Two numbers win a free ticket.

At 1X, three numbers pay $2, four pay $20 and five pay $500. The jackpot starts at $1 million and grows until someone wins it, by $200,000 a draw from its third draw.

What Hoosier Lotto wheels cost

Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match (at least $2) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.

8 of 464$8$161 in 18 draws, about once every 9 weeks

The cost per week covers all 2 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Can a wheel improve your odds?

No. Each line still has the same 1 in 9,366,819 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.50 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions

How many numbers should I mark?

As many as your budget allows. In Hoosier Lotto, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $8 to $96 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 18 draws to 1 in 2.3. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.

What is +PLUS?

For $1 more per line, your numbers also go into a second drawing straight after the main one, with a $1 million top prize and the line's multiplier on the other prizes. It applies to every line on the ticket.

Can I play online?

No. Indiana sells draw-game tickets only in stores and lottery vending machines, and ticket couriers aren't allowed. The free Hoosier Lottery app can turn your numbers into a digital playslip that the retailer scans.
