About Michigan Fantasy 5
Below the jackpot, Michigan Fantasy 5 prizes are fixed: $100 for four numbers, $10 for three and $1 for two. With only 39 numbers and a draw every day, a three-number guarantee comes up often: each option above shows exactly how often.
The jackpot starts at $100,000 and is won often: 18 times in the 92 draws from July to September 2026.
What Michigan Fantasy 5 wheels cost
Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match ($10) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.
| Numbers you mark | Tickets | Cost per draw | Cost per week | How often the guarantee comes into play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 of 39 | 8 | $8 | $56 | 1 in 20 draws, about once every 3 weeks |
| 10 of 39 | 17 | $17 | $119 | 1 in 10 draws, about once a week or more |
| 12 of 39 | 29 | $29 | $203 | 1 in 6.3 draws, about once a week or more |
| 15 of 39 | 55 | $55 | $385 | 1 in 3.6 draws, about once a week or more |
| 18 of 39 | 94 | $94 | $658 | 1 in 2.4 draws, about once a week or more |
The cost per week covers all 7 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Can a wheel improve your odds?
No. Each line still has the same 1 in 575,757 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.23 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions
How many numbers should I mark?
As many as your budget allows. In Michigan Fantasy 5, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $8 to $94 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 20 draws to 1 in 2.4. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.
How do I play these tickets in Michigan?
Copy each line onto an official Michigan Lottery playslip, or read your lines to the clerk. You can buy online too, on the lottery's website and app, while you're in Michigan.
Is this the same as Fantasy 5 in other states?
No. Michigan's game uses 39 numbers with fixed prizes; California's also uses 39 but shares its prizes, Florida's uses 36 and Georgia's 42. We have separate wheels for each.
