About New Jersey Pick-6

Every $2 Pick-6 play comes with an XTRA multiplier printed on the ticket at random: 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x. It multiplies the prizes for 3, 4 and 5 numbers, so a three-number guarantee is worth $2 to $20 depending on the ticket.

The 4- and 5-number prizes are shared among the winners: before XTRA, four numbers has typically paid about $30 and five numbers about $1,650.

Matching two numbers pays nothing in New Jersey Pick-6, so every wheel here guarantees at least a three-number match. Be wary of any system that promises "two numbers every time."

What New Jersey Pick-6 wheels cost

Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match ($2, times your XTRA multiplier) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.

Numbers you markTicketsCost per drawCost per weekHow often the guarantee comes into play

18 of 4648$96$2881 in 2.3 draws, about once a week or more

The cost per week covers all 3 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Every $2 play includes an XTRA multiplier (1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x) printed at random on the ticket; it multiplies the 5-, 4- and 3-number prizes. The 5- and 4-number prizes are shared among the winners; "typically" figures are median amounts paid from July 2025 to February 2026, before XTRA. The jackpot starts at $2 million and grows at least $100,000 a draw. Can a wheel improve your odds?

No. Each line still has the same 1 in 9,366,819 chance at the top prize, and on average about 50¢ of every dollar comes back as prizes, jackpot included, however you choose the numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions

How many numbers should I mark?

As many as your budget allows. In New Jersey Pick-6, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $8 to $96 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 18 draws to 1 in 2.3. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.

How do I play these tickets in New Jersey?

Copy each line onto an official New Jersey Lottery playslip, or read your lines to the clerk. The lottery's app can also make a digital playslip that the retailer scans.

What is Double Play?

For $1 more per line, your same numbers play in a second drawing right after the main one, with a $250,000 top prize. Your XTRA multiplier applies there too. It adds $1 to every line of a wheel.
