About Daily Million
Daily Million is drawn twice a day, every day, from just 39 numbers, so a wheel's guarantee comes into play far more often than in Lotto. Every prize is fixed: €3 for three numbers, €25 for four, €500 for five and €1 million for all six.
Daily Million Plus adds 50 cent a line and enters the same lines in a second draw with prizes up to €500,000.
Matching two numbers without the Bonus Number pays nothing in Daily Million, so every wheel here guarantees at least a three-number match. Be wary of any system that promises "two numbers every time."
What Daily Million wheels cost
Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match (€3) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.
| Numbers you mark | Tickets | Cost per draw | Cost per week | How often the guarantee comes into play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 of 39 | 4 | €4 | €56 | 1 in 11 draws, about once a week or more |
| 10 of 39 | 10 | €10 | €140 | 1 in 6.1 draws, about 2 times a week |
| 12 of 39 | 15 | €15 | €210 | 1 in 3.9 draws, about 4 times a week |
| 15 of 39 | 31 | €31 | €434 | 1 in 2.4 draws, about 6 times a week |
| 18 of 39 | 48 | €48 | €672 | 59% draws, about 8 times a week |
The cost per week covers all 14 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.
Key-number wheels
A key number goes on every ticket, and a smaller wheel covers the rest of your numbers. That cuts the cost a lot, which is why key wheels are popular. The catch is that the guarantee only counts in draws where your key is drawn, and in Daily Million any one number is drawn about once in 7 draws.
So for the same money, a normal wheel's guarantee comes into play more often. Here are three-number guarantees side by side:
| Your numbers | Tickets | Cost per draw | Guarantee comes into play | Best normal wheel for the same money |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 key + 8 others | 4 | €4 | 1 in 23 draws | 8 numbers, 4 tickets: 1 in 11 draws |
| 1 key + 12 others | 9 | €9 | 1 in 13 draws | 9 numbers, 7 tickets: 1 in 8.2 draws |
| 1 key + 16 others | 15 | €15 | 1 in 9.1 draws | 12 numbers, 15 tickets: 1 in 3.9 draws |
| 2 keys + 7 others | 2 | €2 | 1 in 84 draws | none this cheap |
| 2 keys + 11 others | 3 | €3 | 1 in 64 draws | none this cheap |
| 2 keys + 15 others | 4 | €4 | 1 in 56 draws | 8 numbers, 4 tickets: 1 in 11 draws |
To use one, mark your numbers in the tool above, then choose one or two of them as key numbers.
Daily Million prizes and odds
| Match | Prize | Odds per line |
|---|---|---|
| 6 numbers | €1,000,000, shared | 1 in 3,262,623 |
| 5 numbers + Bonus Number | €10,000 | 1 in 543,771 |
| 5 numbers | €500 | 1 in 16,993 |
| 4 numbers + Bonus Number | €100 | 1 in 6,797 |
| 4 numbers | €25 | 1 in 438.52 |
| 3 numbers + Bonus Number | €10 | 1 in 328.89 |
| 3 numbers | €3 | 1 in 32.89 |
Every prize is fixed. The €1 million top prize is shared if several tickets match all six, and if a draw's prizes would pass €5 million the smaller ones are scaled down. The Bonus Number counts when it matches one of your numbers that missed. Rules, prizes and odds were checked on October 4, 2026 against the official source; always confirm them, and your results, at the Irish National Lottery.
Can a wheel improve your odds?
No. Each line still has the same 1 in 3,262,623 chance at the top prize and returns about €0.24 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions
How many numbers should I mark?
As many as your budget allows. In Daily Million, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from €4 to €48 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 11 draws to 59%. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.
How do I play these tickets in Ireland?
At a National Lottery agent, fill in a playslip for your lines or tell the agent your numbers, and they'll key them in. Post Offices and other outlets that sell only Quick Picks can't sell your own numbers. You can also buy online or in the National Lottery app if you live in the Republic of Ireland and you're there when you play.
