About Treasure Hunt
Treasure Hunt has only 30 numbers, the smallest pool of any game on this site, so the draw lands on several of your numbers very often. A wheel on 10 or 12 numbers catches three winning numbers on a large share of draws: each option above shows exactly how often.
Its jackpot is won in roughly two draws out of five, often shared, so a typical winning ticket gets tens of thousands of dollars rather than a fortune. Below the jackpot, prizes are fixed: $100 for four numbers, $6 for three and $1 for two.
What Treasure Hunt wheels cost
Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match ($6) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.
| Numbers you mark | Tickets | Cost per draw | Cost per week | How often the guarantee comes into play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 of 30 | 8 | $8 | $56 | 1 in 9.8 draws, about once a week or more |
| 10 of 30 | 17 | $17 | $119 | 1 in 5.2 draws, about once a week or more |
| 12 of 30 | 29 | $29 | $203 | 1 in 3.3 draws, about once a week or more |
| 15 of 30 | 55 | $55 | $385 | 1 in 2.0 draws, about once a week or more |
| 18 of 30 | 94 | $94 | $658 | 70% draws, about once a week or more |
The cost per week covers all 7 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Can a wheel improve your odds?
No. Each line still has the same 1 in 142,506 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.38 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions
How many numbers should I mark?
As many as your budget allows. In Treasure Hunt, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $8 to $94 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 9.8 draws to 70%. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.
Can I play Treasure Hunt online?
Yes, through PA iLottery, the Pennsylvania Lottery's own website and app, while you're in Pennsylvania.
