Which Minnesota game suits a wheel?

  • For a guarantee that comes into play most often: North 5. With 10 of its 34 numbers marked, three winning numbers land among yours on 1 in 7.2 draws, about once a week or more.
  • For the longest odds and usually the biggest top prize: Gopher 5, at 1 in 1,533,939 per line.

Buying tickets in Minnesota

  • Tickets are sold in stores, not online.
  • The lottery's app can turn your numbers into a digital playslip, a QR code the retailer scans. That's the quickest way to enter a wheel's lines.
  • To play a wheel in a store, copy each line onto an official playslip, or read your lines to the clerk.
  • Since July 2026, no one may buy more than $10,000 of plays for a single drawing, and a pool counts as one buyer.

The Minnesota Lottery also runs Pick 3, Fast Play and Raffles. Wheels don't apply to those: they only help with games where you pick several numbers from one pool.
