About Set for Life
Set for Life is drawn every night and sold by the week: each game plays all 7 draws, for $5.50 including commission, with at least two games. There are no System entries for it, so a wheel is the only way to play many numbers at once.
Four winning numbers win Division 7, and three need a supplementary to win, so wheels that cover four numbers suit it best. With seven draws a week, the chances here are per draw; a week has seven of them.
Matching two numbers pays nothing in Set for Life, so every wheel here guarantees at least a three-number match. Be wary of any system that promises "two numbers every time."
What Set for Life wheels cost
Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match (a prize only with a supplementary) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.
| Numbers you mark | Tickets | Cost per draw | Cost per week | How often the guarantee comes into play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 of 44 | 4 | $3.14 | $22 | 1 in 10.0 draws, about once a week or more |
| 10 of 44 | 6 | $4.71 | $33 | 1 in 5.5 draws, about once a week or more |
| 12 of 44 | 11 | $8.64 | $60.50 | 1 in 3.6 draws, about 2 times a week |
| 15 of 44 | 15 | $11.79 | $82.50 | 1 in 2.2 draws, about 3 times a week |
| 18 of 44 | 32 | $25.14 | $176 | 61% draws, about 4 times a week |
The cost per week covers all 7 draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Division 1 is $200,000 straight away, then $20,000 a month for 20 years ($5 million), for up to four winners; Division 2 is $20,000, then $5,000 a month for 12 months. The other divisions share prize pools, so they vary; the amounts shown are typical since the September 2026 changes. Two supplementaries are drawn after the seven winning numbers, from the same barrel. Rules, prizes and odds were checked on October 5, 2026 against the official source; always confirm them, and your results, at The Lott or Lotterywest.
Can a wheel improve your odds?
No. Each line still has the same 1 in 38,320,568 chance at the top prize, and the same average return, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions
How many numbers should I mark?
As many as your budget allows. In Set for Life, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $3.14 to $25.14 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 10.0 draws to 61%. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.
