About Québec Max
A $3 Québec Max play has four lines of seven numbers. Loto-Québec's rules don't say whether a regular slip lets you choose all four, so the costs here count one $3 play for each wheel line. If your retailer lets you fill all four lines, a wheel costs a quarter as much.
Every prize is fixed: $15 for four numbers or three plus the Bonus Number, $125 for five, $4,000 for six and $2 million for all seven. Forty extra draws each award $1 million or $100,000 to a line that matches one exactly; a wheel doesn't change your chances of those.
Matching two numbers without the Bonus Number pays nothing in Québec Max, so every wheel here guarantees at least a three-number match. Be wary of any system that promises "two numbers every time."
What Québec Max wheels cost
Each of these wheels guarantees a three-number match (a free play) whenever at least three of the winning numbers are among the ones you mark. The more numbers you mark, the more often that happens, and the more tickets it takes.
| Numbers you mark | Tickets | Cost per draw | Cost per week | How often the guarantee comes into play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 of 52 | 4 | $12 | $24 | 1 in 16 draws, about once every 8 weeks |
| 10 of 52 | 6 | $18 | $36 | 1 in 8.3 draws, about once every 4 weeks |
| 12 of 52 | 11 | $33 | $66 | 1 in 5.2 draws, about once every 3 weeks |
| 15 of 52 | 15 | $45 | $90 | 1 in 3.1 draws, about once every 2 weeks |
| 18 of 52 | 32 | $96 | $192 | 1 in 2.2 draws, about once a week or more |
The cost per week covers both draws a week. The tool above also has cheaper wheels with weaker guarantees, and bigger ones that guarantee four or five numbers.

Every prize is fixed. The $2 million top prize is shared among that draw's winners, and the $200,000 prize is limited to $1.4 million in total per draw. The Bonus Number counts when it matches one of your numbers that missed. Odds here are per line; Loto-Québec quotes them per $3 play of four lines. Can a wheel improve your odds?
No. Each line still has the same 1 in 133,784,560 chance at the top prize and returns about $0.33 in other prizes on average, however you choose its numbers. What a wheel changes is how your wins are grouped: random tickets can all miss even when the draw lands on your numbers, and a wheel makes sure at least one ticket catches them. Questions
How many numbers should I mark?
As many as your budget allows. In Québec Max, going from 8 to 18 numbers takes the cost from $12 to $96 a draw, and the three-number guarantee from 1 in 16 draws to 1 in 2.2. Lottery pools can afford the bigger wheels, which is where wheels make the most sense.
How do I play these tickets in Québec?
Copy each line onto a Loto-Québec selection slip, or buy online at lotoquebec.com or in the Loto-Québec app while you're in Québec.
